Psoriasis FAQs

What causes psoriasis?

The exact cause of psoriasis is believed to be related to an overactive immune system that causes the body’s skin cells to multiply faster than normal. [1] This leads to a build-up of dead skin cells on the skin’s surface and the red, itchy, scaly psoriasis symptoms.

What are the risk factors for psoriasis?

Psoriasis doesn’t discriminate – anyone can develop it. However, it’s a condition that most commonly affects people between 15 and 35. A family history of psoriasis can also mean a higher chance of developing the condition, followed by those with a weakened immune system or certain medical conditions, such as diabetes or HIV. [2]

Is everyone guaranteed psoriasis treatment with Stagger?

Our medical team prescribes treatment for people over 18 who have been diagnosed with mild psoriasis and have used medication before. People with severe psoriasis will need an in-person consultation with a GP or specialist in the offline world.

If you’re interested in Stagger’s convenient online access to psoriasis treatment but don’t yet have a diagnosis, feel free to check back with us once you’ve seen your GP. We’ll remain on standby to deliver your treatment to your door when ready.

How fast will my treatment be delivered and how is it packaged?

Once you’ve paid for your treatment, we’ll express post it to anywhere in Australia. Your treatment will be packaged in discreet Australia Post packaging and should arrive within 1-3 days.

Can I speak to my medical team at any time?

Of course! Our online platform enables ongoing support whenever you need it. To chat with your clinician, log into your profile, head to the ‘Products’ tab and select ‘Manage Treatment’. This is where you can message your medical team.

Our team is also available at [email protected]. Drop us a line, anytime.
